I am an otherwise very healthy and active woman who was shocked with a sudden medical condition in 2010 and decided to write about my experiences in hopes that it will help at least one person possibly be diagnosed and treated without having to go through the medical maze I went through! If you are an ADULT with chronic ear infections and can't get any answers, ask your ENT to rule out a CSF leak!!!

Six Months Post Surgery

All is good!  I still have a little nerve damage which causes dry eye and nostril on my right side.  And some hearing loss.  But the leak has not returned so everything else is good!  Feeling very lucky and blessed.

    Thank you for your post. I have been in limbo as to what to expect. I have the same surgery coming up jan 25 2013. Mine will be a Emory Mid Town. I have no details other than the scheduled date. Many thanks for your Post. How long was your pospital stay ?

    I also posted a list of questions you can ask your doctor before your surgery, plus the answers my doctor gave me! Hope this helps.
